Terms of Service
These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Chevta, including its Android application, web application, and related services. Please read them before using Chevta. By using the service, you agree to these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use Chevta.
1. What Chevta does
Chevta helps small businesses record and review sales, purchases, expenses, stock, customer balances, follow-ups, and other business activity. It may also offer AI-assisted entry and questions about records you have saved. Features may differ between Android and web, and some features require an account or internet connection.
2. Who may use Chevta
You must be legally able to accept these Terms, or have the permission required under applicable law. If you use Chevta for a business or on behalf of someone else, you must be authorized to do so. Chevta is not intended for children.
3. Your account and access
Some features work locally without an account. Cloud features and certain AI features may require sign-in. You are responsible for providing accurate account details, keeping access to your device and sign-in methods secure, and telling us if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may sign in using an available method, including phone or Google sign-in. Use of a third-party sign-in service is also subject to that provider's terms.
4. Your business records
You retain your rights in the business information you enter. You give Chevta permission to store, process, and synchronize that information as necessary to provide the features you choose, subject to our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your sales, payments, debts, stock quantities, customer details, and corrections. Keep any records independently required for accounting, tax, regulatory, or business purposes. Chevta is a record-keeping aid, not an official receipt or guaranteed accounting system.
If you include information about customers, employees, or others, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to record and use it.
5. AI-assisted features
AI features, including Smart Entry and Ask Chevta where available, can misunderstand text, speech, transactions, dates, quantities, names, or business context. AI-generated drafts, summaries, and answers may be incomplete or incorrect.
Review and correct AI-generated drafts before saving records. Do not rely on an AI answer alone for financial, tax, legal, lending, or other consequential decisions. AI features may require sending relevant content to service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Local storage, cloud sync, and recovery
Android can store business records locally. Local records are not necessarily available on another device until synchronization has completed. If you use cloud features, synchronization may be delayed, unavailable, or interrupted by connectivity problems, account access, device changes, or technical issues. Android and web may not show identical information immediately.
Do not assume an entry has been backed up merely because it appears on your device. Check its synchronization status where available and keep independent exports or copies of records that are important to your business. We work to protect saved information but do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free recovery.
7. Money, stock, and business decisions
Chevta records and displays business information. Recording a payment in Chevta does not itself transfer money or verify that money was received. Stock counts, outstanding balances, costing, profit figures, and reports can depend on the entries and corrections you make.
Chevta does not provide regulated financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You remain responsible for business decisions and for checking figures against real transactions and supporting records.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Chevta unlawfully, attempt to access another person's account or business records, interfere with the service or its security, upload harmful code, or misuse automated features. You must have the right to submit any information you provide through the service.
9. Privacy, exports, and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, processed, stored, and shared. You can use available export and account-deletion features, or visit our account deletion page. Deleting an account or local data may permanently remove associated records. Information already exported outside Chevta is not automatically deleted from those external copies.
10. Service changes and availability
Chevta is evolving. We may modify, add, suspend, or discontinue features, including features in early testing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice of material changes affecting access to saved business records. We do not guarantee continuous availability, compatibility with every device, or that every feature will remain free. If paid features are introduced, their prices and applicable conditions will be disclosed before purchase.
11. Intellectual property
Chevta's name, branding, software, and other service materials belong to their respective owners. These Terms give you permission to use the service for its intended purpose but do not transfer ownership of the software or branding to you. Your business records remain yours as described in Section 4.
12. Suspension and ending use
You can stop using Chevta at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, serious security risks, or material violations of these Terms. Where feasible, we will provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue or export records, unless doing so would create a security risk or violate the law.
13. Warranties and responsibility
Chevta is provided with reasonable care, but software, AI output, and synchronization can fail. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will always be accurate, uninterrupted, or suitable for every business purpose. We are not responsible for losses resulting from information you entered incorrectly or decisions made without independently checking important records. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Chevta changes. We will update the date shown above and provide additional notice when required by law or when a material change warrants it. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where legally permitted.
